Head Coach – Rolly Arroyo
Rolly Arroyo has over a half-century of fencing experience including more than 30 years as a coach. He has competed in over 20 national championships in all three weapons (foil, sabre, épée) and has won numerous medals. His coaching style emphasizes competitive strategy and on-strip technique.
Assistant Coach – Robin Arroyo
Robin Arroyo has over 20 years of fencing experience. She has competed at local, regional and national levels. She has been coaching with Phoenix Falcons Fencing Club for over 10 years, and also travels to schools for on-site fencing instruction. She is certified at the Moniteur level by the United States Fencing Coaches Association and works with fencers of all ages.
Assistant Coach – Michael Poppre
Michael Poppre has been fencing since 1980. He started as a member of the University of Arizona club team and was a former class instructor at Scottsdale Community College. He studied foil under the former Olympic champion Ion Drimba and foil and epee with US national Olympic team member and club founder Skip Shurtz. He currently participates in local and regional epee events and on the national veterans epee circuit.
